Injection mold manufacturers have a set of detailed production processes and processes when they manufacture plastic injection molds. The injection mold is a tool for producing plastic products. It is an injection molding process that uses plastic molds to produce plastic products. Involved in mold design, mold manufacturing, raw material characteristics and raw material pretreatment methods, molding process, injection molding machine operation and many other factors, and processing environment conditions, product cooling time, post-processing process is closely related to the complex processing process. Therefore, the quality of the injection molds and the level of mold accuracy play a decisive role in the final production of plastic products.


 
Injection mold manufacturers generally divide the injection mold production process into five major stages, namely the production technology preparation stage, the raw material preparation stage, the component processing stage, the assembly debugging stage, and the trial evaluation stage.
 
 
    First, the production technology preparation stage: At this stage, the injection mold factory will conduct a detailed plan for the production cost, production schedule and management of the mold. The work of the production technology stage mainly includes: the overall design of injection molds, the design of parts and components, the preparation of process technology documents, the establishment of material quotas, the setting of working time quotas, and the estimation of mold costs.
 
    Second, the raw material preparation stage: This stage should be ready for all raw materials and materials for mold production. One of the most important tasks is to prepare a variety of blanks. Because the types and structures of injection molds are numerous, the required raw materials are also very different. The blanks are prepared according to the shapes, process sizes, materials, etc. required for the mold parts. , Blanks must be in the form of castings, forgings, and various forms of material under the material. In addition, to complete the production of a set of molds, it also requires many purchased parts and external parts, such as fasteners and standard parts used for assembling molds; parts that cannot be produced or temporarily produced by the factory, such as templates and molds Block and so on. In short, we must prepare all raw materials for injection molds that can be processed by our factory.
 
    Third, parts processing phase: This phase is an important stage to ensure the accuracy of the mold, it mainly includes: machining, special processing, surface processing and heat treatment.
 
    1. Machining mainly uses cutting machine tools to process metal materials. As we all know, molds are almost assembled from metal parts. To obtain the parts that meet the requirements of the drawings, the use of mechanical processing is the most important means. Therefore, machining is one of the most labor-intensive processes.
 
    2. Special processing, the structure of the mold is rather special. Because the plastic product is a three-dimensional part, it is formed by molding the cavity of the male and female molds. This type of cavity with a curved surface is difficult to deal with in general mechanical processing. Even if it is barely processed, its quality is difficult to guarantee. Therefore, it is necessary to use special processing such as EDM. Electroforming processing. These special processing have become an indispensable processing method in mold processing.
 
    3. Surface processing, generally have higher surface requirements for plastic products, require plastic parts surface gloss, rounded appearance, which requires the corresponding cavity surface is very smooth and rounded, because the cavity is generally curved, with the usual The mechanical processing is difficult to ensure quality, which requires a special surface treatment of the mold, mainly grinding and polishing, electrochemical polishing, ultrasonic polishing, extrusion grinding and polishing, shot peening and so on.
        
 
    4. Heat treatment, in the injection mold production, all important parts must be heat treatment, some parts have to deal with multiple times. Because heat treatment is the main method of changing the properties of metallic materials. Because molds are generally produced in one piece, the production cost is high, and people always hope that it can be used more often. Therefore, the molds are required to be durable, and the heat treatment can change the internal structure of the parts without changing the shape and size of the parts. Performance is an important way to ensure the intrinsic quality of parts.
 
    Fourth, assembly debugging stage: This stage is to put together a variety of parts and debugging. The quality of the assembly work is decisive for the quality of the mold. Assembling is a very technical job. Even a small mistake can make the molds produce no qualified products. The assembly is generally divided into component assembly, component assembly and final assembly. After assembly, debugging is performed. This is to adjust the relative position of each component, the clearance and the structural elasticity. This is a key process that is easy to use.
 
    V. Trial and appraisal stage: This phase is to install the debugged mold on the injection molding machine for trial operation, according to the design requirements, to see if the mold is closed, the mold is flexible and meets the requirements, and the quality of the obtained plastic products is qualified. From this, it was determined whether or not the manufactured mold was qualified. If qualified, it will be considered as the completion of the entire process of injection molding.
